BIO
I graduated from Millikin University with a BFA in Graphic Design and Painting. My artwork is about communication and transparency. I find portraits are the most natural way to translate emotions visually. As I paint, the intention of the portrait is to be a vehicle for the emotions I am exploring. There is an immediacy of communication while working with faces. This articulation is made possible through color, texture, and brush stroke. My hope is for the viewer to connect to the portrait and relate to it based on their own feelings and experiences.
